1) Teacher asks the pupils to name plants that can be found in their
school
2) Pupils name the plants.
3) List down the name of plants on the blackboard.
1) Teacher shows a few pictures of plants such as papaya tree, hibiscus plants, rose plant, water lily plant and bird's nest plant.
2) Pupils observe the pictures and name the plants.

4) Pupils name parts of the plants such as flower, stem, thorn, leaf and root
5) Teacher drills on the external features of the plant.
1) Teacher divides the pupils into 4 group
GROUP 1 : Group the plants(flowering and non flowering plants)
GROUP 2 : Shapes of leaves (long, oval or irregular leaves)
GROUP 3: Woody and soft stem
GROUP 4 : Surface of leaves (rough and smooth)
2) Record their answers in the table given by cutting the pictures.
1) Collect their papers and display on the board.
2) Pupils talk about their findings.
3)Teacher awards marks to all the groups.
